It was supposed to be SUMMER! What the heck? It's RAINING here! Where did the summer go? Why has the weather been so COLD lately? Global warming...hello, it says WARMING not cooling down! Is this what the dinosaurs thought before the ice age? LOL. I know that's ridiculous, but seriously, where is the SUN????

Another gloomy day! When will the sun start coming out again? June gloom is getting old! I want to start going to the beach with the kids!

SMS directions free of charge!

I hate hate hate having to print crap from Map Quest, and since I got rid of my blackberry, I don't have a GPS or internet phone right now (darn recession). This morning I was in dire need of directions, and because of my aversion to Map Quest I googled "SMS directions" and made the most awesome discovery!

On your phone dial DIR-ECT-IONS (347-328-4667) and an automated answering machine will ask where you are going, you also have the option to tell them that you already know how to get to the freeway. Once you are done talking to the machine, you are sent a series of text messages letting you know how to get there!

It's efficient, and best of all you aren't wasting paper or ink (cause we all know ink is EXPENSIVE, especially for my stupid Dell printer!).

OK, seriously...how do you hide a hair piece from someone you are SLEEPING WITH?? Must not have been very rousing romps if you know what I mean, what, no hair pulling and yanking? John, Elena and I stopped at a perfume shop after lunch today cause she had to find her perfume...and I stumbled on a new Ed Hardy perfume (since 08, but I haven't seen it)...and it's SOOOO YUMMMMYYYY!!!! The great mom bought it for me! Isn't that so sweet????It smells YUMMMMMYYYYY

Welcome Back!

So...my MIL just came back from Equador, the Amazon and the Galapagos...and I have decided that yes, we will be going there next year! The kids have to have that opportunity!!! They need to be able to say as adults that they went kiaking (or however you spell that) on the Amazon...that they saw the huge tortus in the Galapagos and that they have traveled!!!! That is my goal...show my children the world! I want to give them way more than I was handed (which really, wasn't much) so they can be well rounded and cultured!!! What gorgeous pictures she brought back! She was feet away from animals that we can only see at the zoo or stuffed in a museum! They need to experience this! In my opinion, they need to see the world!

So...I'm tired of religion being an excuse

I recently read an article about gay marriage and had to respond to some of the right wing Christian sects...


To suggest that we maintain religious beliefs as the heart of this country is wrong. Church and state were seperated a long time ago, so those still grasping at straws, let it go. This isn't a religiously ran country...this is a country that holds tights to democracy, and because we do that, we need to set aside religious beliefs and vote for the RIGHTS of PEOPLE...gay, lesbian, black, white, Asian, crippled or mentally retarded, we are all HUMANS and we all should have the same RIGHTS. Additionally the financial upturn would be a huge benefit for California, do we not realize that we are DROWNING in debt? Do we not realize that because we are so concentrated on denying fellow humans RIGHTS that we are causing our children to suffer by laying off teachers? Do you not realize that because we are such a poor state we are turning criminals back to the street as well as laying off police officers?

Set aside the JUDGMENTS oh holier than thou commenters! It is not your job to withhold rights of other humans because your god is hateful of homosexuals. It's that simple. You are believing in a book written by men...a book which the Catholic church purposefully
with held approximately 4945 books. Do we not remember that there are thousands of books the Catholic church deemed unholy? You really believe your god only had the ability to write 55 books? Or are the Catholics wrong and did he write 59?

Today was the museum!

So...today we went to the natural history museum...and it was really nice! They had the TRex lab up so we could watch them clean the bones and put him back together (he wont be up till 2011!!!)...kids weren't too impressed...LOL. We got to dig up some of our own "bones" and play around...checked out some dead birds, dead bugs, live bugs and animals...saw a "momma bear"...lol...reminded me of me!

OK, I'm back!

There is no reason why I haven't been writing other than I haven't felt like it and I am sorry! So...summer is right around the corner and I can't wait for it to be here! Long days at the beach, the pools....relaxing...."chalking" in the front and just hanging with those I love!

Who knows...the girl has been asking that we go camping and maybe we will...it will be a matter of gathering all the equipment or doing it "sasha style" and finding a cabin we can rent! LOL! There is nothing greater than the creature comforts of electricity and running water along with flushing toilets that I dont have to hike to! LOL!
